A passion for creativity.

A note to you, the wanderer who has fallen upon my work, yet also a gentle reminder to myself.

“I want my work to be beautiful, detailed and intricate yet at times I would also like it to be free flowing. This most likely means that I will create work that is quite abstract, relating to my moods and emotions, alongside work that is more structured and detailed. I do this to satisfy both the desire to escape and run free but also the need for constraint, rigidity and a curiosity to showcase the small things.

All of which is to contain elements of beauty within the work yet still be thought provoking. Work that speaks to me, speaks of me and what I want to put out in to the world.

I want to explore femininity outwardly, inwardly and where I sit amongst it. But also with the knowledge that I am drawn to capture and examine vanity and exquisite things. Whether this be figuratively or in the abstract. From landscape, to the human body and still life. I am in awe of what art can say and I want to give it my voice, elegance and playfulness.”

Even though I have made art for many years, I feel as if I am only just starting my journey. I’m not sure that feeling will ever pass as I believe there is so much to be explored!

I am forever drawn to work with graphite and charcoal, however I also work with oils, watercolours and anything that takes my fancy really.
